C.L. Butch Otter

“Butch” Otter was born and raised in Idaho. He went through her schools, graduating form Albertson College and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Mindanao State University in the Philippines. He pursued a career in business within one of Idaho’s largest Corporations …. Simplot. His business background includes Corporate Management/Business Development; Sales and Marketing; Food Production and Processing; Director of Corporate Governmental Affairs and the Board of Directors of the Simplot Company. His accomplishments did not stop there. Mr. Otter served Idaho as Lieutenant Governor from 1987 to 2000. He had been elected more times and served longer than any other Lieutenant Governor in Idaho history. He has served as Chairman of the Governor’s Commodity Trade Task Force and Co-Chairman for the 2002 Olympic Committee. He is a former member of President Reagan’s Task Force on International Private Enterprise and served on the State Advisory Committee on Investment, Technology and Development. He has four children and a grandson. He has served his State and his Country in many capacities … a true Idahoan.
